The T1 is an open backed module designed and built to emulate the cab interior. With a smaller footprint than the T0, the T1 can be adapted to all cab configurations. Multiple high-definition screens reproduce a scaled field of view visible to the driver through virtual window apertures and pillars. Further screens are added as necessary to simulate all mirrors and vehicle control system screens. Where possible the vehicle controls are represented digitally on touch screens. Where this is not possible or practical, controls are sourced from vehicle manufacturer suppliers and are then configured to behave exactly as they would do under actual driving conditions.

An accurate replica of the vehicle’s unique Master Controller is included that will be characterised to behave exactly as it would in the real vehicle.

A multiple channel audio system provides a fully immersive and accurate sound experience. Additional hardware can be added in the form of CCTV and eye-tracking cameras to provide a video stream to the Instructor and/or Observer Stations.
